I have graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Science, majoring in chemistry at the University of Malaya. Currently, I am pursuing my Master Degree from the same university concentrating on Physical Chemistry.
This website is dedicated to some of my works (previous and current) and discussing certain topics that I am interested in.
The two pictures shows the reaction that I have carried out in mid 2010 as part of the synthesis of aporphines. The first picture depicts the reduction of 1,2-methylenedioxy-4-(2-nitrovinyl)benzene and the second depicts the preparation of 1,2-dimethoxy-4-(2-nitrovinyl)benzene from the aldehyde precursor. Interestingly, the reduced product 3,4-methylenedioxyphenethylamine is just two carbon atoms away from 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine or commonly known as MDMA which have the street name Ecstasy.

Current work
Now, my work consists of theoretical, computational, and experimental study of liquid state. The theory and computational work is based on a recently developed theory capable for predicting the thermodynamic properties of liquid mixtures known as COnductor-like Solvation MOdel (COSMO).
